Raceteq sat down with the 2025 F3 champion to find out how he and his Trident team made history by winning the first F3 championship with the new-for-2025 car, while Camara and other F3 drivers commented on the implementation of Aramco’s supply of FIA-compliant 100% Sustainable Fuel in 2025.

Camara looks back on his F3 title-winning season

Camara made his F3 debut in 2025 after strong Formula 4 and Formula Regional results.

In the 2025 F3 season, he won the opening feature race and followed that up with first-place in Bahrain and a podium at Imola, Italy. Further feature race wins came in Spain and in Hungary, where he clinched the title.

He calls it a “very solid” year on the eve of the final races of the season at Monza, Italy, crediting Trident’s preparation for helping him to secure the championship.

“Always, when you change to a new car, it's always a big question mark,” he says.

“So after Melbourne, it was a big relief and also for myself, I think already in Barcelona, I felt quite well with the car.”

As of the season finale at Monza, Camara hasn’t confirmed his plans for 2026, but he’ll very likely be competing in F2 after his F3 triumph.

“It's a bit sad that it's the last race with the team,” he said in Italy.  “Since the beginning, I’m still close to the [Trident] factory as I live in Milan. So, I can see them after this [season] in the break before F2.”

How the drivers reacted to Aramco’s fuel milestone

Camara was one of a number of drivers to comment on the efficacy of one of the biggest changes for 2025; apart from a car with new bodywork and new tyres, 2025 marked the first year in which Aramco supplied FIA-compliant 100% Sustainable Fuel to all 52 F2 and F3 cars.

“It was good for the championship and for the environment. Everyone is trying their best to go in this direction,” says Camara.

“For the driver, in terms of performance, it doesn't change much. It was good that we didn't have any problems with the fuel, nothing with the engine. So it's good to keep going in this direction.

“Until now, it’s the most fun car that I’ve driven.”

Aramco has been exploring the possibilities of lower-carbon fuels by using motorsport as a testbed. In 2025, F2 and F3 deployed the new FIA-compliant 100% Sustainable Fuel that is derived from ‘Advanced Sustainable Components’ (as defined by the FIA) after using fuel with 55% sustainable components in 2023 and 2024.

Other drivers echoed Camara in saying that the implementation of the new fuel was seamless.
MP Motorsport’s Tim Tramnitz, added that the inclusion of the new fuel was “very important” in 2025.

“It's a very big step for us and I think [Aramco] really did a great job because in the end it looks like we didn't lose any power due to this. I’m sure there’s still development to be done but this is a big step and everything worked very well this year.”

AIX Racing driver Brad Benavides, who took pole in the Monza season finale, added: “I think it’s a good testament to the advancements of sustainability so that’s good news, and on the other hand the car looks really nice now - it’s an upgrade in terms of looks!”

F2 and F3 continue to use Aramco’s FIA-compliant 100% Sustainable Fuel in 2026 as the field of V6 single-seater cars campaign around the globe.
