The 2025 Singapore Grand Prix was the first ever Formula 1 race to be declared a ‘heat hazard’ by the FIA as temperatures exceeded 31 degrees Celsius and drivers had to prepare for intense conditions.

Heat and humidity made for a gruelling week in Singapore but the FIA allowed drivers to use new cooling equipment - cooling vests complete with reservoirs for cooling liquid and pumps.

This extra cooling equipment brought the minimum weight limit from 800 kilogrammes to 805kg for the race - the heaviest this minimum weight limit has ever been in F1.
